CIEL Textile celebrates excellence, innovation and impact

CIEL Textile honoured outstanding achievements and innovation at the 2024 Chairman’s Manufacturing Excellence Awards (CMEA), a biennial event that recognises the exceptional contributions of its manufacturing units. This biennial event has become a flagship celebration, recognising the talents and achievements of CIEL Textile’s manufacturing units. This year, the ceremony took place in Antananarivo, Madagascar, bringing together over 500 participants.

Eric Dorchies, CEO of CIEL Textile, seized the opportunity to commend the commitment of all employees. “Once again, you have exceeded our expectations, proving that excellence is not just a goal—it’s a mindset that guides us daily. Congratulations and thank you all for your relentless efforts,” he stated. He also highlighted progress in sustainability, digital transformation, and operational excellence.

Guillaume Dalais, Group Chief Executive of CIEL, underscored the importance of investing in team development while fostering operational excellence. “At CIEL, we believe our success is fundamentally rooted in our people. We place our employees at the heart of everything we do while maintaining our standards of excellence. These awards reaffirm our commitment to these principles and serve as a moment to thank everyone for their invaluable contributions,” he emphasised.

The most important recognition, the “Chairman’s Manufacturing Excellence Award”, recognising exceptional excellence across all categories, was awarded to Floreal Bangladesh.

The 2024 CMEA also introduced two new award categories, highlighting CIEL Textile’s evolving ambitions: the DEI Award (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) and the Act for Initiatives Award.

The DEI Award celebrates initiatives promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity within the various units. Aquarelle India (RCC) earned this inaugural award for its innovative projects aimed at creating a more inclusive and respectful workplace.

The Act for Initiatives Award spotlights concrete actions supporting sustainability and social impact. Aquarelle Madagascar (Antsirabe) received this accolade for its efforts in these areas.
